The Orchestra
An orchestra is a group of musicians playing instruments together
There are two types of orchestras: Small and Large
A small orchestra is known as a chamber orchestra and consists of 30/40 musicians
A large orchestra is known as a symphony orchestra and can have up to 100 musicians
The Conductor
The conductor is the leader or “boss” of the orchestra
The role of the conductor is to ensure all players play together to create the correct balance and ensure everyone can be heard
They also encourages the orchestra to play with the same kind of feeling
